We’ve been getting a lot of questions lately to see what is new and in the works at the pub.  We’d like to share a little about the new kitchen and the new lease.

We will have a bigger kitchen with full cooking capabilities.  This will be great because our lines during meals and our lack of a full menu have been some of our biggest complaints in recent years.  Plus the university is really counting on us to increase our food volume to serve the growing campus population.

The new lease is the second change we’d like to highlight.  We are entering the longest lease that Porter's Pub has ever had.  Plus we will get to use the stage room for additional seating during lunch on a daily basis.  This will more than double our seating.  This will also make up for the bit of seating space that will be used for the new kitchen.  In addition we will also get to use the stage room at least 3 nights per week.  We’re excited to offer more events for students.  We think it’d be great to have more free and cheap shows with local and student bands.

We wouldn't have been able to get this new lease without a commitment to the university to add this new kitchen.  This is by far the biggest investment Porter's Pub has ever made in the space.  We are excited that this will enable Porter's Pub to be on campus for many years to come.  We are looking forward to continuing the traditions of the pub with the new capabilities the new lease and kitchen give us.
